The Melodi Music School

Since the establishment of the music project, and its growth, space has become a problem. Our 'Vision' is to receive sufficient funds to build a music school, that encompasses an Orchestral Rehearsal Room, a Music Library, as well as Teaching & Practice Rooms.

Melodi Teaching Internship Programme

Our aim is to bring teachers from overseas for ten months in a year to teach our students. They will be required to give 9 hours to Melodi Music Project a week, plus three more hours to the development of up and coming music teachers in and around Soweto. In liaison with Dr Richard Cock (the Director and Conductor of the Johannesburg Festival Orchestra), teachers will have an opportunity to play with this leading orchestra in Gauteng.

About Melodi Music Art Collection

It's an arts collection, comprising several pieces of musically themed art, which will be auctioned or raffled on a specific date (to be determined), with all proceeds going towards the running costs of Melodi Music Project.
